RosieMay is a British female vocalist /songwriter born in East London grown up in Essex.
Fuelled at a young age by the music of Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse she writes and sings her own personal tales of love, lust & vulnerability bearing her soul with what she describes as emotional pop / electric soul.
After being championed thru her school years for her musical performances RosieMay graduated East London’s British Academy of New Music with distinction. She then started learning her craft in earnest when she began a co-writing partnership with Larry Hibbitt (of 90’s alt rock band Hundred Reasons fame & more recently producer of Marmozets, Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma) which saw her soulful vocals & pop sensibilities pushed in new directions and spawned her independently released 2014 debut EP “I Am RosieMay”.
In late 2015 a chance hearing of her vocal’s by legendary New York rock label Road Runner Records got her part as featured artist on Michigan hard rockers King 810 EP release "where pain lives". The track "Bad Man" earning the honour of track of the week on Daniel P Carter's BBC Radio 1 rock show and much love from the bands loyal American fanbase.
RosieMay has written with amongst others Tim Hutton (Ian Brown, Prodigy) Bnann Watts (Infadels, Alex Metric) Holly Hardy (Charli XCX).
More recently a unique trans Atlantic writing partnership with her former Guitarist and composer in his own right Cal Owen (aka Solcal) now living in Vancouver, Canada began to blossom and their emotion filled electro track “Forgiveness” will be the first of many new releases this year.
